Entering externally produced quantities is simple

Select the item to be measured and click on the measurement button, up will pop a measurement dialog. Enter the dimensions.

Calculations on the Side, you often need to measure key items separately that later you will use in the measurement of a number of items. This is how you do it.

We will measure the external girth (distance arround) a building. At the bottom of the dialog enter

  • A short name: mg
  • Unit of measure: m
  • A brief description: mean girth of external walls

Click on the measure button

Enter the dimensions

2 walls of 7.5, 2 walls of 27.8, less corner adjustments

Click of the finish button, the side cast dims are stored. The product 69.50 is displayed

To use the side cast for measuring our external wall

Enter mg in the times/formula field and 2.7 (height to eaves) in the breadth field, The product 187.65 is displayed.

  3. The sofware will instantly calulate the area, perimeter or length.
  4. You may add colour and shade the area taken-off.
  5. Return the values to your estimate.
